Welcome to Olivia's Hope

This blog is intended to tell the story of Olivia's struggle with a degenerative disease called Alpers. You can read about her disorder HERE. Olivia lost her battle with her mitochondrial disorder just 5 days after turning 10. Please note that mitochondrial diseases or "Mito" for short is surpassing childhood cancer in numbers and there are over 200 known forms of mito. We still hold out HOPE that other children can be saved. There is no cure and very little treatments out there, we must raise money for research.
